Wiki Open

The project wiki is now open to the public.  Prior to this, you could only view and submit comments.

Participants are encouraged to contribute to the wiki.  Basic instructions and guidelines are posted on the home page of the wiki.  You do not need to be signed up for wikispaces to contribute, but the credibility of your contributions and the ability for others to discuss your contributions with you is greatly enhanced by identifying yourself with a wikispaces profile.

Note that some of the pages of the wiki are protected by the project staff.  Contributions and questions for these pages are still encouraged, but should be submitted via the discussion page for the page in question.

Project Wiki Added

We've started a project wiki, which will eventually be the place where the Working Groups will assemble and edit their research results and statements of ideals.  Nigel and I will assemble the guidelines for project research and post them there early in 2009 in preparation for the Welcome Event.  This space will function in much the same way as the Wikipedia.

A link to the wiki has been added to the navigation bar at the top of every page.

Guest Book

Hello everyone!

If you're stopping by for the first time, please feel free to leave your name in the comments for this thread.  Maybe tell everyone a little about yourself.  This is a conversation, so maybe it's good to get to know who is talking...

So let me introduce myself first:  I'm Dave Johnson and I have been retained by The New Community Coalition as project coordinator for the Regional Sustainability Visioning Project.  Those who have been around the Telluride area for more than a few years would know me from my work with Telluride's affordable housing program as both Executive Director of Telluride Housing Authority and as a Telluride Town Council member.  My job is to take care of the planning, communication and research coordination that is required for this project.  Generally, you won't hear much opinion out of me in this capacity, though I will occasionally jump in to a conversation where my expertise is useful.

TNCC has also retained Nigel Strafford to facilitate the various focus group meetings that will be held throughout the 2008-09 ski season.  I'll let him introduce himself separately.

We will be using this blog both as a conversation tool for the community and a place where we can post information that is relevant to the RSVP process.  I'll talk about that more in another post.

Welcome to the conversation...
